San Antonio isn’t just where my business began, it’s where my life took shape. My family’s history in this city goes back to the 1800s, and it’s in San Antonio that my great-uncle and father built homes together in the 1940s and 1950s. They worked at a time when San Antonio was smaller, less sprawling, and they laid the groundwork for how I approach building today. My father went on to innovate tilt-wall warehouse construction, adding another chapter to our family legacy here. I started in the trade working alongside him at 15, getting my hands dirty pouring concrete, framing walls, and learning the roofing ropes while most kids my age were still figuring out high school.

After college and a few ventures elsewhere, returning to San Antonio in 1999 felt like coming home. I dug into land development, buying 50- to 500-acre tracts, which eventually led me to build custom homes in the Hill Country. But those homes, everything Paradise is known for, grew from the skills and ethics I learned right here in San Antonio. Our operation is based in the San Antonio area, right by Bulverde, and most of our trade partners and suppliers are along the same stretch. The relationships we’ve built, the craft we uphold, and the standards we set all have roots in this city, even as our homes stand out in the Hill Country landscape.
