Building isn’t just a career for me—it’s in my blood. My family’s roots run deep in San Antonio, tracing back to the 1800s. It’s no coincidence that I’m drawn to construction. My great-uncle and father teamed up in the 1940s and 1950s to build homes across San Antonio, laying down a foundation that guides me to this day. I watched my father as he became the first contractor to take on tilt-wall warehouses in Central Texas, setting an example of innovation and perseverance.
By 15, I was already on the job site, pouring concrete with my father during the summer. At 16, I was framing, and before finishing high school, I’d already been on more roofs than I could count. Those formative years shaped me in ways that a later start never could have. I developed an instinctive feel for when a foundation pour is just right or when framing is spot on—all without overthinking it. This isn’t just learned knowledge; it’s ingrained experience.
Saying it’s in my blood isn’t just a figure of speech. It’s a testament to a life and family shaped by wood and concrete, the threads that tie past generations to mine. I’ve never wanted to do anything else, because building has shaped how I view the world around me. It’s guided almost every decision I’ve made.

The Bowman family has deep roots in San Antonio, having built homes since the 1800s. My great-uncle and father built homes together in the 1940s and 1950s, and my father pioneered tilt-wall architecture in Central Texas.
Starting from age 15, I learned every trade alongside my father, which gave me an instinctive feel for construction that you can't get from books. It's shaped not only my skillset but also how I approach any project.
Construction is more than a career; it's our family's legacy. I grew up in the industry, honing skills early on that have made building second nature to me. It's what I was meant to do.
